Touring the Queen City of the South

Cebu is one of the iconic cities in the Philippines. A place full of history and festivities, Cebu is the oldest city in the country and is widely known as the “Queen City of the South”. I was fortunate enough to be one of the representatives of my school in the recently held International Eucharistic Congress (IEC), a gathering of many church leaders and chosen delegates around the world. The IEC usually occurs every 4 years, and this year, Cebu is the host of the event. With this said, I stayed at Cebu from January 27 to 31 for the Congress and as well as to explore the different attractions in the city.

Once again 365 days filled with laughter and tears, ups and downs, twist and turns is officially over and we are now off to start a fresh new year. It has almost been   a month since 2015 started but this is the only vacant time I had to do a quick post. Once again, I have a ton of school works to accomplish so I would just like to take this time to look at my life in 2014 and as well as to share with you my hopes and resolutions for the year.

15th Birthday Cake

So last Friday I turned a year older. I have finished another chapter in my life and I’m now 15. It was a typical day in school, well my classmates, teachers and friends greeted me of course. But other than that it was a normal day, or so I thought. When I came to class, they all greeted me and one of my classmates handed me a Hershey’s Kisses Rose. I thought that the rose was her present for me so I gladly accepted it. Then my class adviser handed me another rose of the same kind and it weirded me out.

A Very Special Day for Mom

Mother’s Day is the time of the year where we try creative ways to make our moms feel special. It sort of becomes an obligation, but it shouldn’t. That special something should be a present that she’ll treasure forever. I remember the time when I was about 3 years old and I learned about Mother’s Day then. I always asked my mom to buy beads for me then I would make a bracelet for her though it was either too big or too small for her anyways.
