Hey guys!! It was my parents’ 23rd wedding anniversary yesterday and I just wanted to share with you the gift that I made for them. It is a video montage of their renewal of vows ceremony held in The Little Vegas Chapel last May. Enjoy watching!! (Read Parts 1 and 2 of our Vegas trip as well. And if you want to know about our experience of the wedding, feel free to click Continue Reading below!)
Day 2 at Boracay and we enjoyed what the beach had to offer! We started our day with a buffet breakfast courtesy once again of Discovery Shores. There was a variety of food to choose from, from continental meals to pastries and fruits to local dishes. Afterwards, we posed for some pictures at the beach then we tried the different water activities that can be done!
Hi guys! I know months have already passed since 2015 ended, but I still haven’t posted my last entry for my 2015 Disney Movie Challenge. The challenge basically involves watching 10 movies released by Disney last year and writing a review for each. I only watched the last on my list, The Good Dinosaur, yesterday. So here’s the review to conclude my challenge! (Better late than never right?)
Hey guys, happy hearts day! So yeah, it’s Valentines Day and I’m single haha. But I did spend an amazing date with my bed, my readings for tomorrow’s exams, and of course, I would not neglect this blog. I was checking out some of my favorite bloggers and they take time to post their own pieces and writings on their sites so I decided to do the same. I would just like to share with you some thoughts that I just wrote today:
About a month ago, my mom went to the northern part of Metro Manila, sprcifically Quezon City, to attend a Christmas reunion with her friends. While she was having fun there, my dad and I decided to go around the shopping centers there, and as well as try the city’s iconic food hubs. Being from the South, it was sort of a new adventure for me and my dad.
Celebrating the coming of the new year was a blast for me and my family! Despite me starting 2016 sick with colds and literally no voice at all (which I shall explain in this blog post how it happened), I still managed to have a fun New Year celebration.
Last November 21, I was able to witness one of the greatest vocalists of this generation. If you are familiar with the 2015 Grammy Song of the Year “Stay With Me”, then I’m pretty sure you know who I’m talking about. He is no other than Sam Smith, who mesmerized the hearts of many Filipinos during his concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. Click here for more pictures.
Classes were called off last November 16 to 20 because the Philippines served as the host for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation or APEC for short. To make the most of of the mini-break, my family went to Tagaytay on November 20 to feel the fresh cool air of the south and as well as to spend time with one another.
Mockingjay Part 2 is the epic conclusion to The Hunger Games Franchise. While the first two films focus on holding a hunger games and Mockingjay Part 1 revolving around the aftermath of The Third Quarter Quell, here we watch how Katniss leads the rebellion to overthrow the Capitol, led by President Snow. The last installment of the franchise amazing. Question is, real or not real?
She Will Be Loved. This Love. Misery. Makes Me Wonder. Maps. Sugar. The list goes on and on. Maroon 5 has been making hits for over a decade, and I was really hyped when I was able to watch their fourth concert here in Manila last September 17. The concert was sold out, and I was really stoked that I got tickets to see one of my favorite rock bands live, whose songs will keep you dancing on your feet and stage presence to bring you a whole lot of energy. 6/10 of my Disney Movie Challenge. You know those times when you experience a certain event in your life, and try to associate it with one feeling? Like all birthday parties are supposed to bring joy, death of a pet brings sadness, betrayal leads to anger, heights bring fears and vegetables lead you to disgust? Why is it necessary to associate something to one emotion? We all know that the complexity of life isn’t enough to suit us one emotion at a time. As humans, we are capable to comprehend all the feelings in the world, so why stick with one right? These thoughts came to my mind when I watched Inside Out a few months ago.
Labeled as the most phenomenal power couple of our time, I’m pretty sure most Filipinos (and even people from around the world) have heard of the word ‘AlDub’ aka the ship name of Alden Richards, an actor and TV host from GMA, a Philippine television network, and Maine Mendoza, the Dubsmash Queen of the Philippines who is famous for her role as “Yaya Dub” on the hit Philippine Variety show Eat Bulaga.
2015 is the year where indie rock artists and bands rose to fame, and Manila was once again lucky to be able to watch one band whose famous anthem, “Shut Up and Dance” is evidently heard on radios and can be seen on the charts. The band behind this song is Walk the Moon (WTM), and they had a mall tour here in the Philippines last August.
I think I have mentioned in my previous posts that I am one of the editors of our school paper. In line with this, I wrote a review in our paper for the movie Paper Towns so I wanted to share it with you guys (with some edits to make it more personal blog-ish hehe)
What is an identity? It is defined as the “distinct quality that makes up an individual”. As easy as it is to give its meaning, the difficult part is finding it. Many of us nowadays struggle to find our true selves. This is the main plot of the mystery-comedy-drama film “Paper Towns” which was released in cinemas last July . Based on the novel with the same title from the bestselling author John Green, Paper Towns focuses on the life of Quentin Jacobsen (Natt Wolff) and his escapade in finding his neighbor and childhood love interest Margo Roth Spiegelman (Cara Delevingne), who went into hiding. Along his quest, Quentin together with his friends Ben, Radar and Lacey, discover more about themselves and the “real” Margo as they find her in a “paper town” called Algoe, New York.
Hey guys! I know that I haven’t posted anything for the past four months and I’m really sorry! I was so busy because I had a lot of school works. Plus, I’m also the editor-in-chief of our school paper so I have to manage all the articles of our magazine and stuff. Also, our finals are coming up and I’m actually in the middle of studying right now. I’m just taking a quick break and decided to let you know that I’m still here and about to post really soon, I promise. Expect me to be fully active and posting more about my life on October 23, the start of our semestral break! To keep you excited, these are the list of posts you have yet to see:
Time flies so fast and I didn’t even realize it was already the 3rd week of July! To celebrate, I decided to make reviews of two movies I watched last month: San Andreas and Jurassic World. With the former tackling major earthquakes that could happen in real life, and the latter showing the possibility of what’s to come when an artificially-created dinosaur gets on the loose on a theme park full of people, well let’s just say my June movie feels were like a roller coaster. Continue reading “Earthquakes and Dinosaurs”
Day 5 in Singapore and our destination was Adventure Cove which is a Waterpark in Sentosa. We stayed there the entire day and there were many attractions to choose from. We first tried the Adventure River wherein we stayed on floaties and let ourselves flow on the river as we had a glimpse of the other park attractions. There was also a wave pool and a variety of water slides. The one I tried was the Riptide Rocket which was sort of a water roller coaster. Well that’s all I got for Day 5. Till next time!

2/10 of my Disney Movie Challenge. To check out the first one, click here. Everybody already knows the Cinderella story. A young maiden ends up being a servant to her stepmother and stepsisters. She was forbidden to attend the ball. With the help of her fairy godmother her life turned into a fantasy until midnight. She met the Prince and left her famous glass slipper as she raced against time. The Prince found out that she owned the slipper and they both lived happily ever after. With this knowledge before hand, what made this movie a big hit?
I promised to write a review of this movie the day after my previous post, and of course I failed to comply once again. Well better late than never right? Here’s my short review of “Into the Woods” (1/10 of my Disney Movie Challenge).
Are you a fan of fairytales? Well even if you feel old for them, deep inside your love for them will never fade. All of us have a favorite story, such as Cinderella or Red Riding Hood. So what if there was a musical movie that combined all of your favorite fairytales together? That would be called “Into the Woods”.
A record-breaking album with a whole new vibe, I didn’t really expect Taylor Swift’s new album 1989 to be a huge hit to be honest. I mean, she’s technically a country/pop-country artist and I wasn’t able to imagine how she could pull off a pure pop record. Till I listened to the album of course. Continue reading “1989”
What if you already had a happy life? A perfect family, a loving boyfriend and a bright future ahead of you? Then all of a sudden these things are worthless because of a fatal accident. But what if you were given a choice? What if you were given a chance to live? To survive and do all the things you need to do? Continue reading “To Stay or not to Stay?”
1/10 of my Marvel Movie Challenge. If the “Avengers” are earth’s mightiest heroes, outer space has its own. They are the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Marvel-produced film was released last July. To be honest, when I watched the trailer for the first time, I was like “Who are these creatures? Are they some kind of mediocre Avengers wannabees? And why are they using 80’s songs?” But when I found out that the movie was a huge hit, curiosity (and Chris Pratt) made me watch the film.
Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you all the speech that I wrote for our English class. I think I made this a couple of months ago, and as you can notice it’s about TFIOS 🙂
