What wouldn’t be the best way to enjoy the night than by listening to six acts perform live all night (with two of those being your fave bands and one of those being one of your fave solo artists) and jumping, screaming and singing your heart out until midnight? I experienced all of these last Thursday, August 18, 2016, during the In the Mix Music Festival at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Last November 21, I was able to witness one of the greatest vocalists of this generation. If you are familiar with the 2015 Grammy Song of the Year “Stay With Me”, then I’m pretty sure you know who I’m talking about. He is no other than Sam Smith, who mesmerized the hearts of many Filipinos during his concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. Click here for more pictures.
She Will Be Loved. This Love. Misery. Makes Me Wonder. Maps. Sugar. The list goes on and on. Maroon 5 has been making hits for over a decade, and I was really hyped when I was able to watch their fourth concert here in Manila last September 17. The concert was sold out, and I was really stoked that I got tickets to see one of my favorite rock bands live, whose songs will keep you dancing on your feet and stage presence to bring you a whole lot of energy. 2015 is the year where indie rock artists and bands rose to fame, and Manila was once again lucky to be able to watch one band whose famous anthem, “Shut Up and Dance” is evidently heard on radios and can be seen on the charts. The band behind this song is Walk the Moon (WTM), and they had a mall tour here in the Philippines last August.
Katy Perry’s highly-anticipated return to Manila for her Prsimatic World Tour brought me to over excitement on the morning of May 7. Despite the concert starting at 8 pm, my parents and I left home en route to the Philippine Arena which was the venue for the show. With this arena located at Bulacan which is more or less 3 to 4 hours away from us, we had to leave early. And even if this concert resulted to us arriving back home at 3 am, hands down it was the best concert I’ve ever seen. Objectively speaking.
Happy to say that I finally saw the band I’ve loved since I was 11 years old last April 17. This band is of Irish descent and is known for their hits “Breakeven”, “Nothing”, “Hall of Fame”, “Superheroes”, and many more. This band is no other than The Script and they set Manila cheering once again as they held their 3rd concert in the country at the Mall of Asia Arena.
After 13 hours of lining up to buy tickets and almost five years of waiting for them to come, the On The Road Again Tour of One Direction finally made its way to Manila and everyone expected it to be the the best night of their lives.
Hey guys I’m really sorry for not updating for a long time. We had a ton of school work for the past months so I didn’t have time to update my blog. I know that it’s already late but I would still like to take this opportunity to share with you all my experience last August when I met Christina Grimmie.
Just the Way You Are, Grenade and Locked Out of Heaven are just some of the hits that this guy has made. And once again Manila had an amazing opportunity when he performed at the Mall of Asia Arena last March 22. This guy is Bruno Mars and he brought his treasure here in the country as he performed at the said sold out concert as part of the Asian leg of his Moonshine Jungle Tour.
