Hey guys! I have already shared with you our experience during our first and second day in New York. Now, I’m going to tell you what we did on our third day. We met with some of my mom’s friends outside our hotel, and they drove us to a restaurant on 5th Avenue called ‘8 1/2 Brassiere’. It is a restaurant that serves buffet, and they treated us for breakfast.
There were a lot of selections to choose from: salads, bread, pasta, meat and many more! The ambiance of the place is also very classy and it was a really great experience. Part of my bucket list was to have a photo in front of the Tiffany & Co. store in New York while eating something in order to recreate the famous scene from the movie ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. My mom’s friends were kind enough to drop us off somewhere near the store.
Afterwards, they brought us back to our hotel and we said our goodbyes. It was around 2 pm and we had to get ready because we had tickets to watch ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway at 3 pm! To briefly describe the experience, it was overwhelming because watching a musical on Broadway was the top spot of my New York bucketlist. I shall talk more about our experience with The Lion King in a separate post!
After the show, we stopped by M&M World and Hershey’s Chocolate World to buy chocolates as presents for our friends and family back in the Philippines. I personally enjoyed shopping more at Hershey’s because they had more reasonable prizes and they sold more chocolate packs that came in bundles.
Afterwards, we had dinner at Olive Garden in Times Square. The food was really delicious and the waiters were really kind and approachable. Since it was our last night in New York, we just simply walked around Times Square for the last couple of hours, and even past midnight, the lights were still so bright and colorful. New York is indeed the ‘city that never sleeps’.
