Islands of Adventure

After we visited Disney World and NASA the previous days, we went to Universal Orlando. It has two parks: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, and we decided to go to Islands of Adventure first. The first attraction that we tried was the Spiderman 4D ride. It was a simulation of us riding a super fast car as we accompanied Spiderman in his adventures.

It was really fun for a first ride! Afterwards, I saw that there was a ‘meet and greet’ for Captain America, so I took the chance and lined up to have a photo with him! Afterwards, we rode the Storm Accelerator which is similar to the teacup ride in Disneyland. Then, I rode the Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls which was a water ride with a really high drop at the end which was around 70 ft!

Afterwards, we went to the Jurassic Park Section of the Park. My Dad and I were already ready to ride the River Adventure with the high drop at the end but all the outdoor rides were temporarily shut down because there was lightning in the area. It was reallt funny at the time because the weather was nice and sunny! After half an hour, we werr able to ride it! Then, my parents and I went to the Raptor encounter where we had a photo with a Raptor!

After staying at Jurassic Park, we visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (There would be a separate post for that!), and that’s when the rain started to pour. It was 6 pm, and the park closes at 7 and we were really far away from the entrance without any raincoats or umbrellas. So we took the Hogwarts Express Train which gets off at the other park: Universal Studios Florida which closes at 9. When we got there, we looked for the nearest gift shop and bought rain ponchos and umbrellas. We waited for the rain to stop a little and we ran as quickly as possible! After conquering high drops, encounters with raptors and being stranded in the rain, my first day at Universal Orlando is unforgettable!

  1. This is so cool! I would love to visit the Jurassic Park Section. I actually have a virtual reality simulator at home and I do have a short movie about a dinosaur, which seems to real when you put the helmet on. I would love to see how the Jurassic Park Section is, if it’s anything like that πŸ™‚

  2. So glad you had so much fun! That’s a lot of activities in one day! I’m sure it was a memorable first day. I can’t wait to read the post for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

  3. Words can’t describe how jealous I am. I’d love to visit Disneyworld and NASA, last year I was lucky enough to go Disneyland Paris but it was nothing compared to Disney World.

  4. Ah visiting Universal Studio is one of my childhood dreams and even I am already 27, i still want to visit this place as it will bring out the inner kid in me. I just hope I will get the chance to travel all the way to Orlando and witness all the wonderful attractions in this place.
    Same thing goes with Disneyland

  5. I just love how they name their rides – Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls! Jurassic Park is cool and I’m really looking forward to your post about Hogwarts!!
