The second theme park that we visited in Disney World was Disney Hollywood Studios! The previous day, we went to Magic Kingdom (You can read Parts 1 and 2 of my experience too!), and despite the magical yet exhausting day that we had there, it didn’t stop us from going to another theme park. Disney Hollywood Studios has rides that are similar to the Hollywood Experience, and they also had a lot of new Star Wars attractions that I was hyped about.
We arrived at the park around 1:30, just in time for a Star Wars themed show called “A Galaxy Far Far Away Show”. It was 10-minutes long, and it summarized the entire story of Star Wars. They were showing selected clips from the 7 Star Wars movies and in between clips, the characters from the movies showed up!
After the show, we went to the Stars Wars Launch Bay which only opened last December. There we can meet characters from Star Wars (Chewbacca and Kylo Ren) as well as watch a short film about the latest Star Wars movie – The Force Awakens.
We first lined up to meet Chewbacca, and the line was around 20-minutes long. Chewie really looked like the one from the movies and I was able to take a lot of pictures with him! Afterwards, we lined up for Kylo Ren and he was really interactive! He had the robotic voice and he even told me that he could “sense the presence of the Force in me”!
Afterwards, we decided to catch the live production of Beauty and the Beast. I really love musicals and since Belle is my favorite Disney princess, I really enjoyed the show.
Then, my parents decided to rest back at the hotel for a little bit and since it was really near to the park, they drove back and left me alone in the park. I used this opportunity to try out all the other rides and check out all the other Star Wars attractions. My favorite ride would be the Star Tours ride, a 3D simulation ride that features a Star Wars adventure with C-3PO as the spaceship’s driver. I loved the ride so much that I rode it 5 times!
Overall, I really enjoyed Disney Hollywood Studios, and luckily, it wasn’t as tiring as Magic Kingdom! Looking forward to be back someday!
