Hey guys!! I know I haven’t updated in like, forever, but I was so busy that I just had to let school finish before I come back to the blog. After all, it was my Senior year, and I wanted to make the best out of it. So yay I finally graduated! I will be attending college in the fall, so now I have a ton of time to update (hopefully, because I might be out most of the time but I’ll really really try my best). So this post was supposed to be made for Chinese New Year, but I’m going to continue writing it anyway. (In the hopes that I could still recall what we did despite the months that already passed haha). So during the special occasion, we tried to be spontaneous and went to Eastwood for dinner.
Eastwood is a complex filled with commercial areas, business offices and a mall. Our first stop was Milk Cow, an ice cream shop known for its soft-serve ice cream blended with organic milk and sweet honey. I heard about it on Instagram, and saw a number of famous bloggers posting pictures of ice cream from this place, so I decided to try it for myself.
I remember ordering their cookies ‘n cream flavored ice cream and it was really delicious!! It costs Php150 for a small cup, which is a little more pricey than usual ice creams, but the creamy texture and crunch of the oreo toppings made it worth it.
After the ice cream stop, we went for dinner. Yes I know it’s sort of weird but we saw the ice cream shop first haha. So we decided to eat at Kettle, a sort of casual/fancy restaurant that’s only found in the Northern part of Metro Manila. Milk Cow is actually only found at the North too; I try my best to try stuff that aren’t really found at the South (where I’m from) for the experience. So from what I recall (I realized that I forgot to take a pic of the food ugh but oh well + I consulted the menu to get the actual name of the dish), we ordered Kettle House Salad and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. To be honest, I didn’t really like the salad that much because it was really organic, like no meat and they used the sour kind of dressing for it, but the chicken was the best and the gravy was really really delicious. The dish also came with this kind of bread that was really sweet and soft. Overall, it was a really great weekend with the fam and I was glad that I got to try new places to eat at. xx
