Now that 2015 is coming to an end, I would like to take this time to reminisce and look back on the memorable moments that I have had for the year. Overall, I could proudly say that 2015 has been one of the most fruitful and fortunate years for me.
One of the first highlights of 2015 was the time that I watched One Direction‘s On The Road Again Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds last March 21. I can still remember all the feels because I finally got to see my most favorite band live.
The day after, March 22, was the day that I graduated from Junior High School. It was one of the most defining moments of my life because I was able to finish junior high with flying colors and that signified that all my hard work for the year has paid off.
After my graduation, we had our first local trip from March 26 – 28. Our family went to Anvaya Cove, a beach resort located in Bataan. It was a great way of relaxing after all the stress that came from accomplishing several tasks and projects for school.
April 8-15 was the week that I got my graduation present! Our family had our out-of-the-country vacation at Singapore. I was able to visit many attractions in the country such as Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and many more! I was also able to learn about Singapore’s culture and as well as meet new people.
Two days after our Singapore trip (April 17) , my dad and I watched The Script‘s No Sound Without Silence Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena. Despite the band’s third concert in the country, it was my first time to see them live so I was really happy that I got the chance to watch their show.
On the first day of May, our family went on an outing to Batangas, a local province here in the Philippines. We were able to visit different churches in the area, and also relax at Club Balai Isabel, a local resort, in the afternoon.
May 7, 2015 – The day I was able to watch Katy Perry‘s Prismatic World Tour. I was so happy that I got to see one of my favorite female artists live and from the production, to the set list and to Katy’s stage presence, this was one of the best shows I have seen.
June 2015 marked the first month for a new school year!! I entered Grade 11, which is the first level of Senior High School here in the Philippines. This is a really big step for our country since K-12 education was only implemented here recently
Two days before my birthday, July 23, my parents already gave me my birthday gift! I got a new phone: a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I was really happy with my new gadget, especially its camera features which are great for vacations and concerts.
Finally, it was my 16th birthday! I celebrated in the morning with my fellow staffers in our school paper as we had a journalism seminar that day. In the afternoon, I went out with my best friends in the mall and during dinner, I ate with them and as well as my parents.
August 18 was the day I got to watch Walk the Moon‘s Talking is Hard Tour in Manila. Walk the Moon is one of the latest indie bands that rose to fame this year and I was really happy that I got to see them live.
It was also in August that I got to try the newly opened archery place here in our subdivision!
September 17, 2015 – I finally got to see Maroon 5!!! It was their V Tour, and as well as the first time that I got to see them. Despite having school the next day, I didn’t hesitate to miss the show because Maroon 5 is one of my favorite rock bands ever.
During the last week of October, our family went for a local vacation at Baguio, also known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. We stayed here for three days, and we were able to breathe in the fresh cool air and appreciate the beauty of nature.
On November 20, our family had a one day getaway at Tagaytay City.
The day after, I,together with my cousin, was able to watch Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena. The concert was originally supposed to be scheduled on May 10, but due to Sam’s vocal problems, the show was rescheduled to November. Despite the change in schedule, Sam’s performance was great and his voice was heavenly.
On November 23, the first ever issue of our Senior High School paper was released! I am the editor-in-chief of the said publication and I am happy that all the labor of me and as well as my fellow staffers paid off as we were able to publish a great magazine.
In December, I had a wonderful Christmas celebration with both sides of my family. Aside from this, I was also able to watch a lot of movies this year, as you can read in my Disney and Marvel Movie Challenges. I was also able to maintain my grades for this school year, and meet a lot of new friends in class! I am really grateful for the whole year, and I look forward to 2016 as I take on new challenges, discover new things, and hopefully, be able to share a lot of good memories to you in the future. Happy new year in advance!
