Mockingjay Part 2 is the epic conclusion to The Hunger Games Franchise. While the first two films focus on holding a hunger games and Mockingjay Part 1 revolving around the aftermath of The Third Quarter Quell, here we watch how Katniss leads the rebellion to overthrow the Capitol, led by President Snow. The last installment of the franchise amazing. Question is, real or not real?
The film picks up where we left off at Mockingjay Part 1. As we recall, Peeta and Katniss reunite, but it’s not the happy reunion that everyone expects. Apparently, Snow has brainwashed Peeta, and now he only sees Katniss as his enemy and desires to kill her. Apart from this, Katniss also chose to work with President Coin (Julianne Moore), the leader of District 13.
Coin’s main agenda is to overthrow the Capitol. Katniss agrees with this plan as well, however, little did she know that Coin has a deeper agenda than that, one which also involves a greed for power. In the end, Katniss decides to be her own person and makes a choice that changes the life of the citizens of Panem.
Being a fan of The Hunger Games since 2012, I can proudly say that the film stayed faithful to the books and did it justice. I really felt emotional after the last scene because the series had come to an end, and I had to watch my favorite characters on the big screen for the last time. A movie filled with friendship, hope, and love, Mockingjay: Part 2 shows the story of a strong and brave woman, and the journey she has gone through to change the society she lives in. As I said earlier, the movie was fantastic. Real or not real? Of course, real. Bravo Hunger Games, the odds were definitely in your favor.
